His Birth, Death and Resurrection

Image
Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter, marks the start of Holy Week, the penultimate week of Lent. Catholics get together during Holy Week to commemorate and take part in the Passion of Jesus Christ. The last part of Christ's life in Jerusalem was during the Passion. It starts with His arrival in Jerusalem and ends with His crucifixion. The most significant week of the church year is Holy Week. We commemorate Jesus' birth, death, and resurrection during this season. We recall his deeds, consider his teachings, and renew our commitment to acting as his disciples in the present. This week, we can learn about Jesus’ sacrifices for us. As a student and as a Catholic, this helps me strengthen my beliefs in God. This week, make us remember that we owe our lives to God because he did not just make us as his master piece; he gave us Jesus Christ, who sacrificed himself for us to be free from evil.  References: http://www.clincarthill.org.uk/index.php/holy-week-messages/
