My letter to Mr. President

Dear Mr. President, 

        First, I would like to thank you for your wonderful leadership, and I have high hopes that you will be the one who's going to change the Philippines and turn it into a better country.

 Speaking of turning the Philippines into a better country, I am glad that they gave me this opportunity to talk to you because, as I grow up in a family of laborers, I want my parents to experience a better life. A lot of laborers out there, living in poverty, they can't gain much in their work. They end up living with it, struggling to rise from poverty because of unfair payments, especially to farmers who work day and night just to have bountiful harvest, but the price of their products is so low that they can't even get their investment back, what about their struggles?

So Mr. President, I would like you to see the hardship of the farmers, fisherman, and other laborers that struggling out there and who can't rise above poverty.

Kannawidan is one of the most anticipated festivals in Ilocos Sur because it is a showcase of indigenous performances, religious rituals, and cooking demos featuring the best of Ilocano dishes. It is very important to celebrate this kind of festival because it cannot just give us happiness, peace, and harmony; as a part of the new generation, it is very important for us to know the history of this place and their products. This festival helps us not forget the beautiful past of our province. They not only give entertainment; they also give knowledge. S o  if you have time, come and visit Kannawidan, or you’ll miss it and wait for another year.
